Agreed. The bar has been raised in Arizona and sloppy play is no longer tolerated. We expect this team to be one of the best in the NFL not an 8-8 also ran.

As Ken Whisenhunt said "I was mad at them [offensive line] maybe I should stay mad at them." If our guys play poorly we should get mad at them as well.

Absolutely, it's our money and time going in to support these guys so if they suck I'm going to say so. Warner week 1 sucked ass, week 2 was much better but what version will we get week 3?

That wasn't my point. It's okay to express stupid opinions. Just expect the fire in return, especially when proven wrong on the subject time, after time, after time. Chris seemed to be indicating an unfairness about the piling on. I understand, & to some extent agree. I also however, understand the willingness on the part of some to call out the stupidity.

I stated I like the variety, although it can be frustrating at times.

I'm not sure I understand why. The players are the only ones laying it on the line. I would think they would deserve more loyalty than posters on a keyboard laying out opinions. Who ultimately gets the wins & losses? Certainly not the posters. I would think the players would get more defference b/c they do the work. We simply ponitificate. If the player was a T.O. type that might be one thing. Warner is hardly that type of player. To hammer him after a half a bad game (the first game of the season I might add) seems a little agenda driven to me. I would rather call the poster out on that than the player who left it on the field, regardless of the outcome.

Because the Cardinals are the subject of the board's discussion. When there's a forum called "Stout" or "ASFN Posters" then the topic of discussion shifts to the people typing the messages, until then, the subject ought to be the guys playing football.

You know, there are a lot of things that bother me about this post. The first i mentioned above. But also, you say that all we do is pontificate and don't affect outcomes. You're right, but then you say Stout has an agenda. An agenda to what end? You just said we don't do anything but pontificate. He's pontificating.

The reason players aren't going to get the same type of loyalty from me is that they don't have any FOR me. My ASFN friends are just that--friends. Players are performing a job and don't know me from Adam.

Also, you seem to imply that if a player is trying his best he's above critisism. That's pop warner, brother. This is the NFL. If a player is not getting the job done that player is going to take heat. Don't feel bad for them, they get paid handsomely to take it.

You do realize that those players "laying it on the line" and getting those "wins and losses" -for which we are EXTREMELY grateful, are enabled to do so because of us fans, right? New Stadium. New coach. New talent... all enabled by we who commit large amounts of our own time and money in support of them.

By this reasoning, why have a board at all? We might as well just post the articles on the Main Board and bow down in reverence.

And while I certainly don't want this to happen, what if last week's game was the last high point in Warner's career? Were the posters on this board who sounded the alarm still "stupid"?

You've missed the point once again Pariah. I'm not saying he doesn't have the right to pontificate & post stupid opinions. I've undoubtedly done that myself on occassion. The point was, if you make a stupid assertion, be prepared to take the fire. What? The players have to take the heat but the posters that make absurd comments are immune? Again, I'm not sure I get your point.

BTW, for me personally, I consider posters here friends as well, even ones I disagree w/. We're all family. For me, that includes players I've never met, but feel close to none the less. Kind of funky huh? Sports can kind of be weird that way.

You do realize that most of us fans have experienced more wins and losses with this team than any player associated with it? Most of the player loyalty to the team is because of a contract while most of our loyalty to the team is based on a love of the team--win or lose and no matter who is suiting up in that uniform.

We are fans we'll complain, we'll single out players, we'll agonize over losses and celebrate wins...just because we aren't on the field doesn't make it any less special for us.

I agree full heartedly w/ you. But there is a difference between friendly banter & civil discourse, & posts that exhibit nothing but vitriole, especially towards a player. There is also a difference between expressing opinions & expressing opinions as fact. That's often times the genesis for threads like these.

But I agree w/ Doug at this point. I think things have gotten off track. I'm partially at fault as well. I've said my peace. Have a great one guys & here's to hoping we play lights out this Sunday.

To Stout's credit, he manned up & ate the pie unlike others who have remained in the shadows, only to undoubtedly return on the subject after the next less than stellar performance.

It gets a little frustrating on an otherwise great board. It does add (gulp) variety though, so I guess I'm torn.

Honestly most fans should have been questioning Warner after the first game, I didn't think he looked his self, should we not be concerned? Should we just accept crap football when we, as fans, want to achieve whatever may be above at least mediocrity?

Hell no! We see that we have talent on this team that can produce an opportunity to win or challenge for the division title for the next few years. For us, as fans, to roll over and accept anything less is rediculous an wouldn't be tolerated in a major market city.
