Wow does Levi look in great shape and light on his feet or what? Like hearing that he sets his sights on the PB too!

Alan Branch looks like he needs to do some cardio. I read the the other week that coaches expected him to be in better shape, and the video confirms it.

I haven't seen the coaches remarks on the topic, but I definately felt the same way after watching the video.

I remember being blown away by the changes Gabe Watson made in his physique 2nd year. I don't see the same improvement with Alan. Still a long way from training camp, and perhaps he'll prove me wrong.

God, I hope so.

Go Cards!!!

Look at the way he moves and how light he looks on his feet compared to a guy of similar size in Levi! Ther is no comparison Levi BLOWS HIM AWAY in the video.

According to Somers article this morning coaches have asked him to go from his current 182 to 195.

Atthe cost of how much speed though? That is the question.

Yeah, I read that about 20 minutes after I posted my comment here.

I don't think it will cost him too much speed. Besides how good is his speed if he isn't durable enough to stay on the field?

Hes a CB. What weight did Deion play at that dude was skinny and dominant? His weight really wouldnt concern me even as it is now.

It doesn't concern me either. We don't need big physical corners. We need fast corners who know how to play the ball.

Add 13lbs to a 4.24 40 time and you are still super fast, still faster then most.

I dont doubt that in a 100 meters. But I wonder how it would affect his "burst" and rcovery speed which is more important in a CB IMO.

Sanders was a solid 6-1 close to 200 lbs.

If you're not going to ask him to tackle then I suppose you're right. But I would think 10 lbs of muscle mass would not hinder his speed and burst much at all. I'm guessing of course...

Look at the picture of DRC back peddling and tell me his durability does give you concerns...

Your right. He always looked skinny as hell to me. Im willing to bet those #s are overinflated like they are with most players nowadays.

He had the fastest 10 yard split time as well which is an indication of his burst and recovery speed.

Adding muscle the right way will actually improve his speed, burst, acceleraction, quickness, what have you. Especially on a 6-2 man who is only 182. He has plenty of room to add muscle without ruining his attributes.

Hall is 197 @ 5-10, Pacman Jones is 185 @ 5-10. Two of the fastest and quickest CB's in the league. Neither one has issues with speed or quickness and they are bulkier then the 6-2 182 lb DRC. He can add weight and keep his attributes without a doubt.
