Can someone explain the PAC-10 tournament seeding

I am confused at how #4 plays #5 and #7 plays #10

It seems odd but the first day is "playin" games so there are 4 teams, 7 plays 10 and 8 plays 9.

After that the winners of the playin are the lowest seeds. 8/9 winner plays the 1 seed, 7/10 winner plays the 2 seed. so 3 plays 6 and 4 plays 5.

It's not that unsual, every big conference does it this way.

It is funny how you(me that is) never really paid attention to it until really matters and since I have been following NCCA basketball for only about 8 years or so, there have not been many years that this time of the year was important as a ASU fan.

Thanks, now I do not feel like I need to take a Math class again.
