I have no idea who Tango is. I'm just giving everyone my take. Just look at the Pat's roster and you will realize it takes more than the hype most of you guys pay attention to at draft time. I takes athletic ability but more importantly the desire to overachive combined with discipline.

The Cards will NEVER win a champioship with Green at the helm.

Call me anthing you want but this is my take. Tomorrow we will see the same thing from Green's drafts purely on athletic ability (i.e. speed) but not on heart and the desire to overachieve.

Just look at the front 4 and 3 backers that the Pat's put on the field last year and then tell me if they were the most gifted athletically in the NFL.

Take off the rose colored glasses and get back to reality. Oh, and incently I am not a Pats fan. Never been to New England and have no desrie to go there.

Hey Bud,

The cards have drafted a lot of heart players in the past. It has gotten them nowhere. I'm glad they started to go the athlete route. Now we may have the fastest D's in the NFC west.

The kid was taken way too early. NOT because of the color of his skin. NOT because of ANY bias or bigotry. He is a real gamble in every sense of the word. There are many, many athletic, fast, big, strong individuals NOT on the field for an NFL team, simply because they can't play football even WITH all of the talent (or they are just bad characters for some reason).

Matt Jones was a reach at the top of the second round, let alone where he went. Why? Simply because, as a poster earlier in the thread pointed out, he's changing position in the NFL and they don't even know exactly which position he will play. Someone pounced on me because I said Adrian MacPherson would be a good 3rd round pick for the Cards and said I was falling for the hype. Well, I think Matt Jones is a product of a lot of hype as well, NOT the color of his skin. Impressive combine stats does not equal a good pro football player.

Sorry, but I think the original post and premise of the post is assinine. As long as people continue to dredge up these arguments/positions it just proves, at least to me, that racial bias and prejudice is, unfortunately, much too alive and well in this blessed nation. Sad.

I, too, read this board on a regular basis and have been reading it for the past 3+ years.

If you don't know who "Tango" is, but stated you have been reading this board for "4 to 5" years...you really haven't been reading this board and/or really haven't been here for the timeframe you stated earlier in the thread IMHO.

I have found you must "earn" your voice in this forum...any forum to be exact.

Just like me...my posts are low even though I read this board nearly everyday...I don't expect the viewers to take my view "seriously" or as serious as someone who has earned it via posts.

Just to let you know my view...an opinion is one thing, but you are stating an opinion cutting close to racial-backlash...anything racial, no matter, positive or negative (this case it sure sounds in poor taste) will get people's reactions going and coming from a "low-post grut" will get few to "join your cause"...respect it or not!

This is a football forum. Talk about football. Agree to disagree on a players talent. Agree to disagree about who we should have or shouldn't have picked.

We're talking about an athletic project here who'll have to learn a new positon and was orginally was projected to go somewhere in the second or third round who but skyrocketed in the past 2 weeks into either #30 (Pittsburgh) or #31 (Philly) slot in Round One.

Instead, he surprises everyone by going as high as #21 and you have the gall to cry racism!!!
