Man. He was having a great season. He always seems to get hurt and miss a lot of time each season.

All of the giant, immobile centers in the league have trouble with their legs. Shawn Bradley, Georghe Muresan, Yao, Manute Bol, Ilgauskas, etc. all have had recurring leg or foot issues.

Holy crap that sounds painful.

Poor Houston...if healthy, that is an incredibly dangerous team. But they can't stay healthy.

If Yao comes back on schedule, he'll be ready to play right around the all-star break. 6 weeks is probably the best case prognosis though. There's a decent chance that Amare could replace him as the starting center at the all-star game.

He may replace him due to injury - but there isn't a chance in hell he would stop getting votes due to inactivity and forfeit his lead. (they have to fix the voting as it currently is - what a joke).
