PHOENIX - The Diamondbacks will close out their 33-game exhibition schedule in 2006 with two games against the Yankees in Phoenix. The March 31 and April 1 games in recently renamed Chase Field will be the Yankees' first in Arizona since they took two of three from the Diamondbacks on June 15-17, 2004, at the then-Bank One Ballpark. The spring training schedule, released Thursday, also features six games in Tucson Electric Park against the Chicago White Sox, the defending World Series champions. The teams have shared a training complex in Tucson since 1998. Arizona has just one off day - March 15 - from its opener against the White Sox on March 2 until the second Yankees game. The slate includes three split-squad dates - March 8 against Colorado at TEP and Hi Corbett Field, the Rockies' training facility; March 13 against San Francisco and Colorado, both at TEP; and March 23 against the Rockies in Tucson and against Seattle in Peoria.
