The New York Yankees have been one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season. At 19-10, they are sitting atop the AL East with the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays both floundering.
But, amid such a strong start, there are still some questions about the Yankees starting rotation this season. With three games to go in April, the Yankees are making a call-up that will have fans excited.
According to Aaron Boone on Talkin' Yanks, the Yankees are going to call up third-ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, Elmer Rodriguez, to the Majors for his big-league debut on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers.
Yankees to call up Elmer Rodriguez for MLB debut
"Aaron Boone tells us Elmer Rodriguez will be called up to make his MLB debut tomorrow," Talkin' Yanks posted on Twitter/x.
Rodriguez, the 6-foot-4 right-handed pitching prospect, is being called up to the Major Leagues for his debut on Wednesday.
He's 22 years old, ranked third behind only George Lombard Jr. and Carlos Lagrange in the Yankees organization according to MLB Pipeline, and will be making his debut tomorrow.

This season down at Triple-A, he's posted an impressive 1.27 ERA in four starts across 21.1 innings pitched with a .171 batting average against, a 0/89 WHIP, and 20 strikeouts to seven walks.
He has a 2.51 ERA in his professional career dating back to 2022, as the former Boston Red Sox draft pick in 2021 has turned into a star prospect with the Yankees.
Acquired in the Carlos Narvaez trade, Rodriguez is now set to join the Yankees roster for a chance to pitch on Wednesday against a solid Rangers team.
