New York Yankees hat

The New York Yankees have been missing slugger Giancarlo Stanton since April 24, but it doesn't sound like he's coming back in the near future.

On Monday, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reported that he has not resumed running since his recent calf setback, but Aaron Boone expects him back this season.

"Giancarlo Stanton (calf) remained in New York and has not resumed running since his recent setback, Aaron Boone said. 'We’ve been listening to the body,' said Boone, who added that he does expect Stanton to return at some point this season," Hoch wrote.

The Yankees have been one of the coldest teams in baseball over the last few weeks and need a spark. Unfortunately, Stanton won't be that for the club in the very near future. Hopefully, it won't be much longer. Fortunately, it sounds like he's not done for the season, at the very least.
