Wyndham Clark's earnings: US Open winner’s share, purse at Shinnecock Hills

Wyndham Clark hung on to earn a wire-to-wire victory of the 2026 U.S. Open at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

Clark finished 4-under par for a score of 276, holding off Sam Burns by one stroke.

It was Clark’s second career U.S. Open victory, having previously won the tournament back in 2023. He also won the 2023 tournament by one stroke, ahead of Rory McIlroy at the Los Angeles Country Club's North Course.

As a result of winning on Sunday, June 21, Clark received $4.5 million of the $22.5 million total purse

Golfers were challenged this week by a two-hour fog delay on the first day, followed by extreme winds and a controversial USGA penalty after Joaquin Niemann threw a club.

The two-hour fog delay led to a late start for the first round and pushed the start of the second round because the act was suspended due to darkness on Day 1.
