"WWE SmackDown" is in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on this Friday — July 10 — as the new Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk makes his return to the show. After Monday's title change in Punk's match against Sami Zayn, the blue brand has been flipped upside down.
The new champion's return to "SmackDown" will be the big highlight, as we await Cody Rhodes' response after being taken out of the match mid-show by Gunther on "Raw." Meanwhile, a livid Zayn went viral on social media in the immediate aftermath of his loss. Tons of layers are set to be peeled back going into SummerSlam, with Punk back on top.
Finn Bálor will also have his first singles match today since moving over to "SmackDown." Standing in his way will be his old Bullet Club ally from New Japan Pro Wrestling, Tama Tonga. United States Champion Trick Williams will be in action as well, as he and Carmelo Hayes keep their feud alive following Williams' successful title defense against Ricky Saints; however, their latest matchup this Friday will be a non-title tilt.
Additionally appearances are expected tonight from Gunther and Oba Femi, plus more.
