The Wisconsin Badgers have suffered a slight fall in ESPN's college football future power rankings despite their recent success.

In a list that goes through 2027, ESPN's Adam Rittenberg ranked the Badgers No. 55. For reference, they were sitting at No. 54 a year ago.

The future power rankings take into consideration, "the assets that make a program great in 2026 might not be there in 2027."

When looking at the 68 teams ranked, the Big Ten teams sitting below them are: Purdue (67), Michigan State (62), Maryland (58), and Rutgers (56).

The Badgers' week one opponent, Notre Dame, just so happens to be ranked No. 1. Other top-ranked Big Ten teams include Ohio State (2), Oregon (4), and Indiana (7).

It's not like Wisconsin had a great class of 2026, but their falling in the rankings is a bit surprising, knowing how well they've recruited the class of 2027.
