Nothing went wrong in Wisconsin's spring practices, but CBS Sports' Cody Nagel is not ready to buy into this team.

In his Big Ten post-spring power rankings, Wisconsin comes in at No. 15. The Badgers have hovered around being a bottom-five team in numerous national rankings, but they've now reached the bottom four, according to Nagel.

"Last October, Wisconsin gave Luke Fickell the dreaded vote of confidence, the clearest sign that things aren't going well. The Badgers did manage to win a pair of Big Ten games in November after looking dead in the water midway through the season," he said.

Nagel continued, "The university also increased its investment in football, particularly in the transfer portal, hoping Old Dominion transfer quarterback Colton Joseph can finally bring some stability to the position in 2026."

Wisconsin brought in over 30 players this offseason, so there's a strong chance Nagel is sleeping on some of its incoming transfers. Sure, Joseph will be steering this ship, but running back Abu Sama is gaining more attention than ever, and he's a name CBS Sports excluded entirely.

As it stands, the only teams ranked below Wisconsin were Rutgers, Michigan State, and Purdue.

Keep in mind, Nagel also included each team's odds to win the 2026 Big Ten Championship. Wisconsin has better odds than No. 14 Maryland, No. 12 Northwestern, No. 11 Minnesota, No. 10 Nebraska, and No. 9 Illinois, but is still ranked below them.
