A Wisconsin Badgers legend certainly left his mark on an NBA Summer League game.

Despite having a quiet first half, John Tonje erupted for 20 second-half points and guided the Boston Celtics to an 83-80 overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors.

Tonje, 25, appeared in six games for the Celtics last season. He averaged just 7.0 minutes per game, so it's clear he has a chip on his shoulder to get back to the NBA here in 2026.

The former Badgers guard played 26 minutes in the Celtics' overtime victory. Overall, he was 6-for-14 from the field, but most notably, 5-for-9 from three-point range.

Tonje also recorded five rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Remember, all 20 of his points came in the second half, and he sealed the deal with a steal-and-dunk combo with just 22 seconds remaining in overtime.

NBC Sports' Raphielle Johnson reports there are a pair of two-way contract slots remaining in Boston, so Tonje made quite the case for one of those to belong to him.
