Wisconsin football legend Jim Leonhard is interviewing for the Baltimore Ravens' defensive coordinator job, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Leonhard is one of the top candidates on the NFL defensive coordinator market. He previously interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys' opening, plus is believed to be one of the leading candidates for the Buffalo Bills' job.

The top defensive coach most recently spent the 2025 NFL season leading the Denver Broncos' secondary. His season came to a conclusion on Sunday with a narrow AFC Championship Game loss to the New England Patriots. After leaving Wisconsin in 2022, Leonhard spent the 2023 campaign as an analyst on Bret Bielema's Illinois staff, then joined the Broncos at the start of 2024.

As recently-hired Ravens head coach Jesse Minter works to fill his staff, he and the Ravens are far from alone in their pursuit of Leonhard. Expect the Badger great to be in the news until he officially signs for a role.
