There are nearly 50 out athletes competing at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, and after the first weekend of events, several have already won medals.

Queer athletes come to the Olympics this year from countries like the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Finland, Sweden, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, and are competing in sports as varied as speed skating and hockey to skiing, figure skating, and skeleton.

As the Games continue from February 6 to February 22, Out will update this list with all the queer medalists.

Breezy Johnson - Gold - Team USA​

Bisexual freestyle skier Breezy Johnson was competing in her first Olympics after qualifying in 2022, but missed out due to an injury. She won the gold medal in her first event, the women's downhill run.

Amber Glenn - Gold - Team USA​

Pansexual figure skater Amber Glenn picked up her first medal, a gold, as part of Team USA's Figure Skating Team Event. She also represented the U.S. in the Women's Single Skating - Free Skating event.

Mathilde Gremaud - Gold - Switzerland​

Swiss freestyle skier Mathilde Gremaud is competing in her third Olympics. She previously won a silver in Slopestyle at the Pyeongchang Olympics, a bronze in Big Air and gold in Slopestyle in Beijing, and now won the gold medal again in Women's Slopestyle at Milan.
