WINNEBAGO, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Winnebago has high hopes for this postseason after gong 24-6 during the regular season. The Indians got things off to a good start on their homecourt Monday night by defeating Sandwich 56-29 in a 2A regional semifinal game.
Ida Fager was Bago’s leading scorer with 15 points. Alyssa Zambrovitz added 11 points. The bench bunch saw a lot of action after Bago built up a huge lead in the third quarter.
Winnebago will face Stillman Valley in the regional championship game at Bago Thursday evening at 7pm. Watch the media player for highlights of this game.
