Even though Wimbledon is synonymous with history and tradition, as with any other sporting event, it is also about money.

Wimbledon is the second-most lucrative tournament in tennis (behind the US Open), and the prize money keeps rising every year.

The total prize pool available to the players in 2026 is £64.2 million ($86.1m), over £10m more than last year.

Here are the payouts for every round of the men’s and women’s singles competitions, as well as the champion’s prize for the other events.

The men’s and women’s singles champions at Wimbledon 2026 will each earn £3.6m ($4.8m), in addition to the famous trophies.

Even first-round losers earn £80,000—approximately double the average annual salary in the United Kingdom.
