Will Vederian Lowe return to the New England Patriots in free agency?
Lowe played in 14 games, 13 of which he started, for the Patriots in 2024. The following season, the veteran left tackle experienced a vicissitude in fortune. The Patriots selected left tackle Will Campbell with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Lowe was relegated to the bench, playing in all 17 games but starting in only four last season in favor of Campbell.
The Illinois native has the option to search for a starting role with another team in the open market. Lowe will officially become an unrestricted free agent effective March 11.
Spotrac projects Lowe’s NFL market value to be $1.5 million. An opportunity to start for another team in 2026 is an advantageous move for Lowe to make in free agency from an on-field perspective. A major draw for the reigning AFC Champion Patriots will be the return of most of their starting contributors from last season in 2026.
