The UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House might be facing some challenges on Sunday.
Let's start with the weather: There could be thunderstorms coming on Sunday in the evening hours per forecasts. Will that cause some delays in the fights? Per USA TODAY Sports, there's this to note: "In the event of lightning detected within eight miles of the South Lawn, officials will enforce a prompt 30-minute evacuation to protect the crowd. Regardless of rain or shine, UFC Chief Executive Dana White says the event will proceed as scheduled."
So we'll all keep an eye on the weather and see if lightning evacuations come into play.
This is something that University of Maryland entomologist Michael Raupp noted to Axios DC: Because of the hot, humid weather and maybe the rain, there could be an invasion of midges, mayflies, moths and more.
We'll see if all that happens on Sunday night.
