Free agency is at the doorstep for New England Patriots right tackle Thayer Munford Jr.
The Patriots came to an agreement with Munford Jr. on a one-year, $1.1 million deal in 2025. The 26-year-old played in five games, two of which he started, for the Patriots last season. Munford Jr. allowed only one total pressure on the year. He earned a player grade of 70.1 from Pro Football Focus in 2025.
Munford Jr. is no stranger to starting in the NFL. The Ohio State product played 15 games, 10 of which he started, for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. The open market has the potential to offer him a larger role in an NFL offense than the one he had in New England last season.
Spotrac projects Munford Jr.’s market value to be $1.3 million annually.
Munford Jr. is one of the Patriots’ seven pending unrestricted free agents this offseason. A return to New England in 2026 would be his second season with the team.
