New England Patriots right tackle Thayer Munford Jr. is slated to be an unrestricted free agent in March.
Munford Jr. did not allow any sacks, or commit any penalties across 100 offensive snaps played last season. The 26-year-old allowed only one total pressure in 2025. Pro Football Focus gave Munford Jr. a player grade of 70.1 on the year. The Ohio State product signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Patriots in 2025. He has received a higher market value estimation ahead of free agency.
Spotrac appraised Munford Jr. as a player in line to receive $1.3 million annually in their market value estimation of the Ohio native.
Munford Jr. will have the opportunity to field offers from all 32 teams in the league once the NFL’s free agency period begins on March 11.
New England has the option to try to retain the Ohio State product with an offer of their own. Munford Jr. played his first three seasons in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2022-24. The 2025 season was Munford Jr.’s first with the Patriots.
