The New England Patriots lost five of their unrestricted free agents in the NFL’s free agency negotiating period, with Thayer Munford Jr.‘s decision hanging in the balance amid the free agency signing window opening on Wednesday.

K’Lavon Chaisson left New England for the Washington Commanders on a one-year deal worth $12 million. Jaylinn Hawkins availed himself in negotiating a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, strengthening a much-improved Ravens defense this offseason.

Khyiris Tonga struck a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Atlanta Falcons lured Austin Hooper away from New England on a one-year, $3.25 million deal. As for Vederian Lowe, the veteran left tackle jumped at the opportunity to join the San Francisco 49ers.

Munford Jr. is the last Patriots unrestricted free agent, not including non-tendered restricted free agents, that has yet to make his decision in the open market.

Though the Patriots’ offensive line took a blow following Lowe’s departure, New England reaching an agreement with guard Alijah Vera-Tucker gives the Patriots a heralded offensive lineman who poses a solution at left guard.

Munford Jr. can now sign with any of the 32 teams in the NFL after the signing window opened at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
