Will Patriots' dominant DT duo lead NFL in pressure rate in 2026?

Milton Williams and Christian Barmore formed one of the best defensive tackle pairings in the NFL last season for the New England Patriots.

Barmore finished second in the NFL behind Tennessee Titans First-Team All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons in pressure rate among all defensive tackles last season at 13.6 percent. Williams was right behind him, good for third in the league at 12.4 percent.

Williams and Barmore were pivotal for the Patriots in their run to the Super Bowl last season. Barmore, in particular, was lauded for his play in the postseason.

Both interior defensive linemen are in their primes as they approach their sixth seasons in the league. They project to be one of the most effective defensive tackle pairings in the pressure department yet again in 2026.

However, John Franklin-Myers is now in Tennessee to give Simmons an elite running mate at defensive tackle. It should be another great season for Williams and Barmore, but the Titans' pairing in the interior projects to rank higher than Williams and Barmore in 2026.
