New England Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams has yet to be named to an All-Pro team in his career.
Williams is approaching his sixth season in the NFL in 2026. The Texas native recorded the third-highest pressure rate among all defensive tackles in the league last season at 12.4 percent. Williams finished the 2025 season with 3.5 sacks and a batted pass to show for.
Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and Denver Broncos defender Zach Allen set the standard at the position as the first-team All-Pro honorees from last season. Williams has Seattle Seahawks' Leonard Williams and Pittsburgh Steelers' Cameron Heyward to strive to overtake as well, as the second-team All-Pro honorees from last season.
Milton Williams will likely need to up his sack total in 2026 in order to garner more serious consideration for All-Pro honors. Simmons (11), Allen (7) and Leonard Williams (7) all recorded more sacks than Milton Williams' last season by a wide margin, though Milton Williams matched Heyward’s 3.5.
Aside from increasing his sacks, Milton Williams will also strengthen his case for an All-Pro nod with an even better performance against the run in 2026 than the one he put forth last season. Impressively, no running back that the Patriots faced last season rushed for more than 53 yards across the 12 games that the Louisiana Tech product played in.
However, Williams was given a run-defense grade of 48.4 by Pro Football Focus for the 2025 season, indicating that a higher level of effectiveness is attainable for him in 2026.
The Patriots’ defense will provide Williams with the same level of support next season as it did in 2025. It will be his job to add another layer to his game in order to achieve All-Pro recognition in 2026. Given his experience as a Super Bowl champion, coupled with his effectiveness in the pass rush last season, Williams appears in line to earn second-team All-Pro honors next season.
