New England Patriots offensive tackle Will Campbell weighed in on the organization acquiring wide receiver A.J. Brown. Although the trade was expected, it was still one of the biggest storylines of the offseason.
Campbell, a 2025 first-round draft pick, helped spark a turnaround for the Patriots last season. The addition of Brown, who has long been one of the top receivers in the NFL, could help the offensive unit take things to the next level in 2025.
His mere presence should make life easier on everybody.
Man, it's pretty cool to have another great player added to our offense," Campbell said to reporters, per 98.5 The Sports Hub's Alex Barth. "He's been able to do some incredible things in this league. We're more than excited to have him."
The timing of the move couldn't have been better considering the Patriots are expected to have one of the NFL's most difficult strength-of-schedules in the league in 2026.
Not only has the team added Brown, but they also added veteran wideout Romeo Doubs in free agency, along with drafting promising rookie tight end Eli Raridon to pair with Hunter Henry. Couple those moves with the improvements along the offensive line, and the Patriots' unit should be a day and night difference from last season.
