The New England Patriots fell just short of winning the Super Bowl last season, but they have had a very productive offseason.
The Patriots went out and added Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown to their offense. Brown was acquired via trade on Monday, and Will Campbell was asked what it means to get a player like Brown.
"Man, it's pretty cool to have another great player added to our offense," Campbell said to reporters on Tuesday, per Alex Barth. "He's been able to do some incredible things in this league. We're more than excited to have him."
Brown is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he wanted to be a Patriot. He grew up a Patriots fan and will now get to represent the team as a player. The Patriots need help in the wide receiver room, and Brown is a major addition. The Patriots gave up a first-round pick to get him, so he is a major investment.
The Patriots are hoping Brown and Doubs can be an elite duo and help them win the Super Bowl after they fell just short last season. Brown has 8,029 career receiving yards and 57 career touchdowns. He is an elite playmaker with great size and downfield ability. With Drake Maye, he could end up having one of the best years of his career.
