Logan Webb offered to give Zack Wheeler his spot in the MLB All-Star Game.
That's how obvious it was to the San Francisco Giants ace that his Philadelphia Phillies counterpart had been snubbed.
In the end, though, Wheeler won't be playing in the All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
Especially with it in Philadelphia, it's a painful outcome for Wheeler.
"I would have given my spot to him for him to be here," Webb told reporters Monday at MLB All-Star Game Media Day. "He's one of the best pitchers in baseball. Has been for a long time. It always sucks when guys who are deserving don't make it."

Why isn't Zack Wheeler playing in the All-Star Game?
Wheeler simply wasn't selected to the game.
It's a big-time snub, for sure.
He has a 2.28 ERA through 14 starts this season.
He was offered a replacement spot after not being chosen initially, but Wheeler declined.
"They disrespected me, so I'm not going to participate," Wheeler said of that decision.
It has been a comeback season for Wheeler, who had a season-ending blood clot last summer and needed thoracic outlet decompression surgery.
Wheeler won't get the ovation from the Philadelphia crowd as an All Star, but it's clear that plenty of people know he got ripped off.
