Brandon Aiyuk and his fight with the San Francisco 49ers gets uglier by the day, with Aiyuk posting almost daily how much he wants out, and it sounds like the team wants to get rid of him, too.
Aiyuk wrote a graphic under a video he posted that says, "The best sport in the world. The best league in the world [and] the best team in the world." The next part of his Story includes a picture with a graphic that says, "And I almost forgot.. The best WR in the world."
Aiyuk also made his intentions clear where he wants to land.
"And if I'm crazy or if I'm cappin', tell them boys cut me today. And I'll sign with the Commanders tomorrow."
The Commanders haven't even said whether they are interested in Aiyuk, but obviously, he is ready to make the move.
Why would Aiyuk want to make this move to the Commanders and not a playoff team from last year? Simply put, his relationship is with quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Both Daniels and Aiyuk briefly played at Arizona State before Daniels transferred to LSU. Daniels even attended Aiyuk's wedding, so not only do they have a professional relationship dating back to their college days, but they also have a close personal relationship.
Aiyuk felt disrespected by the 49ers when the team took away the guaranteed money he was promised after he violated team policy while rehabbing his ACL. He's been on the warpath since.
