Fans of the Boston Celtics dejected about the trade of Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George and draft assets may not have the Georgia native on their favorite team to watch next year. But there is a growing point of view that his absence will open up a fair amount of playing time for now-second year Celtics forward Hugo Gonzalez.
And Gonzalez looks poised to take a leap on the court with that opportunity ahead of him as well, given what we saw with Boston at the end of last season and what we are seeing from the Madrid native with the Spanish National Team in FIBA play across the pond this summer.
The folks behind the "Hoops With Nick" YouTube channel put together a clip showcasing why they are among those expecting Gonzalez to thrive with the Celtics next season. Check it out below!
