Why is Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark playing on Wednesday and not on Thursday?
As she gets re-acclimated to basketball from missing two games with a back injury, Clark hinted that she might not play in Thursday's Phoenix Mercury road game after playing in Wednesday's Los Angeles Sparks road game.
It's not uncommon for players to manage minutes and even games as they get back into playing shape. For example, Fever superstar forward Aliyah Boston will miss Wednesday's game against the Sparks but play in Thursday's game against the Mercury with a leg injury since it's a back-to-back.
Clark should get back into a regular rhythm on the playing court sooner than later, but it makes sense to manage her reps right now as she's coming off her latest back ailment.
The team plays in Vegas against the Aces on Sunday.
