Super Bowl!
Very interesting article from CBS Sports: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/f...utcome-can-kliff-kingsbury-fix-david-johnson/
Barring any injuries. I agree.DJ just has to be licking his chops knowing there's a threat like Murray with him in the backfield.
In the next couple of years, it's possible (possible I say!) ARZ's offense will rise to the level of STL's Greatest Show on Turf.
And, maybe, just maybe, we'll see something really special in the desert. An offense for the ages.
The perfect combination of cutting edge coaching, and skill position talent, that would feature DJ running wild in the passing game. Gutting defense with big plays, as opposing DC's try to contain Murray.
Fun to think about eh?
Man I can't wait.
156 timesRunning up the gut on first and second down is another reason DJ was awful.

My problem was/with what this team is building is K2 & can he be successful as a HC. Watching lots of Tech games over the years, I never saw a guy who could elevate his entire team to winning & he didn’t. Exactly why I would’ve offered Lincoln Riley a HUGE contract & seen if he would bite. He can flat out coach
I did say this when we hired McCoy that he would effectively sideline DJ as he did with Melvin Gordon in SD. Everyone was moaning about Gordon being a bust until they got out from under McCoy
I agree!

There’s no way Riley would’ve left OU. He’s only 35 years old and making $6 million/year. He has full control of one of the best football programs in the country. He just signed a 5 year extension that could be worth $32 million if he stays.
I’m sure the Cowboys would be really interested in hiring him if they get rid of Garrett after this season. Riley can just use rumors of him leaving to the NFL to increase his salary every year.
Maybe close to 10 years from now, when Riley is around 44/45, he’ll get bored of college ball and try the NFL.
I agree!

BTW, if DJ resembles that guy which made us all luv him when used correctly... it's going to be a living hell for any DC to game plan for what one cannot with a guy like Murray even as a rookie with a guy who has Marshall Faulk capabilities
Josh Rosen's fault.

Here we go. Man, you and PA Cards are having a day together on this board! At least you added a "possible" caveat to your pie-in-the-sky ohmergerdwe'resogreat stuff
[/QUOTE]Haha. After I read PA Cards' posts, I'm halfway ready to run through a brick wall.. lol..
Stout, man, let me ask you this...
Do you think that Bidwill and Keim have a plan? Do you think they way that they're constructing the roster, and coaching staff, demonstrates an over-arching strategy, and that each move is a means to an end (this, as opposed to throwing darts at a draft board, and at a list of available coaches)?
Just yes or no is fine sir. Or you can elaborate on your answer if you'd like.
It’s quite simple. You take 5 or 6 dynamic offensive weapons and spread them out. You ask your qb ( who is one of those weapons) to recognize the mismatch and get him the ball. Sometimes the qb is the mismatch.
KK has the rep of creating those mismatches and we have a qb that seems to recognize the mismatches, or buy time to find the mismatch or become the mismatch.
Everything points to an offense that will create havoc for defenses and their coordinators providing we stay somewhat healthy.
Again, thanks for the sensibility in your posts.Right now we have, for certain, maybe one dynamic offensive weapon: DJ. And even he hasn't been dynamic for a while. The rest are question marks. KM is a dynamic athlete. A dynamic NFL QB? Time will tell. KK has no rep as an NFL head coach, and is also a huge question mark. We also have an offensive line that, if they were horses, would be lined up outside the glue factory. We're not necessarily set up for success yet. Not to say we can't get there, or that it can't somehow come together this year, but it is a million miles from an absolute certainty.
