Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, the league is releasing its list of the top 100 players, which is voted on by the players themselves.
Coming in at No. 99 is Indianapolis Colts left guard Quenton Nelson.
"As a defensive guy for me, I want to be around the football every snap," said Titans star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. "You turn on that tape, Jonathan Taylor running down the field and you see a pile, watch out, Quenton Nelson is coming to knock over the pile."
About to enter his ninth NFL season, Nelson continues to play at an extremely high level. Among all guards this season, Nelson ranked fourth in Pro Football Focus' pass-blocking efficiency and fourth in run-blocking grade. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler and has made six All-Pro teams in his career.
"My thing that I love most about him is he sprints after every play to the ball carrier," said Colts' tight end Mo Alie-Cox. "Guys notice that and the O-line carries off his attitude. He sets the tone, and everybody else follows."
Former Colts' linebacker Zaire Franklin said, "He's the standard. The elite-level player. I mean physical, athletic. It's very rare you see a big O-lineman like that running in open space. That's a scary sight for them DBs and linebackers alike too. So he'll finish the play to the echo of the whistle."
Nelson is set to enter the final year of his current deal and could become the NFL's next highest-paid guard.
