For a guy who has stated he wants to see a Super Bowl before he dies, you make a lot of excuses and tolerate a lot of sub par products.
You make a very good point, but I’ve come to the realization that as long as the Bidwills own this team, winning a Championship may not be in the cards lol.

And whose opinion is being attacked here?? Only mine, and by you. Bidwill will do what Bidwill will do. Has nothing to do with your opinion or mine. But, based on the 60+ years of prior Bidwill decisions made, it’s generally the wrong decision.
I and anyone else daring to question this organization's brilliant plan were attacked by you for two years, bub. What's good for the goose is good for the embarrassingly incorrect gander.

If John Harbaugh or Mike Tomlin became available most would be happy to sign them. Hell most of us were hoping beyond hope for Sean Payton. McCarthy has a similar record to all three and as many super bowls.

He would never come here anyway but for folks on this board to put their nose in the air at having a coach that’s top 15 in all time wins come to this team is a little silly.

This team would be lucky to get a top 3 candidate in any cycle. We always end up with the 6/7/8th guy on the list. Some of the better options won’t even take an interview here.
So, why isn’t McCarthy currently employed like the other guys you named here then?

I have no clue. Do you? I genuinely don’t have any idea and if someone can elaborate on that I am all for it.

You’re the one that’s advocating for McCarthy, not me.
I already gave my reasons why I think he would be a good choice. Because he’s won as many games in 17 years as the Cardinals have in the last 25 years. And I’d rather have somebody with a track record of success than the next Jonathan Gannon, Kliff Kingsbury, or Steve Wilkes.

I’d rather try again with a Kliff-type big swing because McCarthy can’t elevate a bad QB or bad ownership. That’s what he’s actually shown over the past 17 years.

My thesis is you have to be willing to take big swings but cut bait fast. Hope you strike gold with another Bruce Arians (who I didn’t like when he was hired and one of the lessons I learned about evaluating coaching prospects is you never really know from the information we get). Arians could overcome awful ownership and change the culture.

Warner could overcome terrible ownership and coaching and change the culture. Unfortunately, his career was over when he arrived and it didn’t stick.

Burrow could overcome mid coaching and terrible ownership.

I’d do it with QBs and coaches until we strike gold. Two years and if it ain’t happening you gotta go.

You sure have enough opinions or “ information” on everybody’s suggestions.
Yes because McCarthy and Gruden are proven commodities with long track records.

I laid out my hypothesis above. I don’t love the Kubiak idea, but I’m not putting it on blast right now because who knows? I just think the whole discourse is foolish.

We really have no idea if Gannon will be fired or not. And by the time it happens the lay of the land will be determined then as to who candidates are. If Monti is fired we are looking at a month or so before we can start rational coach discussions.

It would take a big offer but Ryan Day would leave OSu for a NFL job.

This is one strategy for sure. On the flip side it can turn off potential candidates

The luster seem to dull during his years with Dallas.
It’s hard to look over a .600 winning pct. and 8 straight playoff appearances with Green Bay.
After Gannon I’m certainly grasping at straws.
This is Dennis Green thinking

I'd take McCarthy if he took prime Aaron Rodgers with him. I always viewed him as a horrible horrible coach with a HOF QB.
