Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the entire NFL in receiving yards in 2025 with 1,793. If he doesn't exactly repeat that success, he's the overwhelming favorite to lead the Seahawks in receiving again. Who will finish second on offense in receiving this coming campaign is the real question.

Last season, it was veteran wideout Cooper Kupp by the slimmest of margins. Kupp produced 593 yards throughout his debut season in Seattle. Breakout tight end AJ Barner wasn't far off with 519 yards.

Both Kupp and Barner are strong candidates to be Sam Darnold's second-most frequent read in the passing game opposite Smith-Njigba. Another option is Rashid Shaheed. Everyone expects Shaheed to have a massive role on offense now that he's had an entire offseason to settle in.

Shaheed is certainly more explosive than both Kupp and Barner. He may not register as many receptions as the more reliable Barner and Kupp, but his take-the-top-off speed could allow him to surpass them in receiving yards.

Smith-Njigba is a legitimate superstar at wide receiver. The Seahawks have several quality options behind him. Barner, Kupp, and Shaheed will stress opposing defenses. Don't be shocked if Shaheed is the team's second-leading receiver in 2026.
