Norway earned its biggest win in international competition in the 2026 World Cup's round of 16, when it beat Brazil 2-1 to advance to the tournament quarterfinals for the first time in the country's history.
The country will have a chance to repeat that feat as it prepares to take on England in a marquee quarterfinal matchup.
Norway and England are set to face off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday, July 11 in the third of the 2026 World Cup's four semifinal matches. The contest will kick off at 5 p.m. ET, and features two of the tournament's leading Golden Boot candidates – England's Harry Kane and Norway's Erling Haaland.
England will be favored to beat Norway, but Ståle Solbakken's side won't be an easy out. If Haaland can continue to score at a world-class clip and keeper Ørjan Nyland can put together another strong performance, as he did against Brazil, Norway could have a chance to pull of the upset.
