England are all set to take on Norway in the quarterfinal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This will be England’s third-straight quarterfinal appearance in the World Cup. While the last two campaigns ended in disappointment, fans have high hopes this year.

After all, England will face World Cup debutants Norway, led by Erling Haaland, in the high-stakes game. Prior to the match, the English side received a fitness boost.

Three England players are available for training ahead of the Norway game​


England booked a spot in the quarterfinals after a gritty 3-2 win over Mexico in their Round of 16 game. However, Thomas Tuchel was handed worrisome injury updates on Marc Guehi and Declan Rice.

With Reece James already injured and Jarell Quansah picking a red card vs. Mexico, England won’t be at full strength vs. Norway, or so fans thought.

“England fitness boost as Declan Rice, Marc Guehi & Reece James train here in Fort Lauderdale,” reporter Craig Hope wrote on X.

While it doesn’t guarantee that Guehi, Rice, and James will play against Norway, it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

If all goes well for the Three Lions against Haaland and Co., they’ll clinch a semifinal spot, where they’ll wait for the winner of the Argentina vs. Switzerland game.
