The Seattle Seahawks recorded an impressive 18 interceptions throughout the 2025 season. That was fifth-best in the entire league. Only the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Los Angeles Chargers had more INTs than the Seahawks. All five teams made the playoffs, by the way.
Linebacker Ernest Jones IV led the Seahawks in interceptions with five. Safety Coby Bryant was second with four. Jones only had four career interceptions before 2025, and Bryant joined the Bears via free agency.
The Seahawks will probably have a new interceptions leader in 2026. Who'll it be is a very interesting question to pose. Devon Witherspoon only has two career interceptions in three seasons. Opposing quarterbacks often avoid him in coverage, making it difficult for him to record picks. Nick Emmanwori, Josh Jobe, and Julian Love had just one interception apiece.
The Seahawks need the returning members of their secondary to notch more interceptions to help replace Bryant's takeaway production. Ty Okada and rookie Bud Clark may play significant snaps in 2026. Clark is interesting, as he recorded 15 career interceptions at TCU.
The Seahawks need another season of generating takeaways at a high level if they're to successfully defend their Super Bowl title. Where they'll come from is another question altogether.
