Someone said the Giants went so far as to call Pace and tell him they were picking him at 25 if he got to them.

But I don't recall who said that.

I think a semi-pro team in Oregon and one of the CFL teams were both really interested in him too. :D

Keep them coming Brian! I just thought of a good idea. I am going to go downstairs and stuff all of the Pace jabs in his locker. Hell...he is going to break Strahan's record!

That'd be awesome and we'd feel like we had something to do with it.

Just remind Pace that he is not Strahan, and therefore Favre won't lay down for him to pad his total. Makes it a little tougher. Actually have to sack the guy. :D

Don't forget to let him know that there are also a few of us willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, seeing as he hasn't even stepped on a field yet.

The word out of the NYC dailies was that, once McDougle was off the board, the Giants had planned to draft Pace in Round 2/not round one.

Well I know for a fact that Pace was called and was going to be selected by the Giants at #25. I also know the Eagles called to inquire on contract parameters and KC '..showed some interest'

I know this sounds hokey, but I cant really reveal my source for this information, just suffice to say that it is true. You wont find it in any article

I swear in an interview posted in a thread somewhere, Pace himself said he had gotten a call from the Giants. No link that I know of off hand.

Well lets just hope he plays well after all the talk I have been doing on him! hahaha

Honestly, he will be fine and a very good DE. Just dont rush to judgement if he doesnt have 15 sacks his first year!

Well actually, and I shouldnt be giving this info away, but I shot JR, and actually JFK wasnt shot. It was all designed and put together on a sound stage on a back lot in Hollywood.

Him and Marily Manroe are leaving happily in souther Argentina renting scooners to toursists!

KC did call Pace, but they gave no assurance of picking him. I can get no other confirmation the Giants had an interest that would involve a first round selection. It is not uncommon for teams to call one player and pick another. The only important call is if they call you while they are on the clock. Otherwise they have no idea who will be on the board when they pick. Rarely will a player get asked about a contract. Those call all go directly to the agent.

Father Flanagan's School For Wayward Boys had him high on their list.
