The vote was split among two candidates primarily, but leading the way was second-year LB Carson Schwesinger (43%). Although Schwesinger had the most votes, newcomer DE Jared Verse was right on his heels with 36%, and it sounds like fans wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes the leader as time goes on and he gets acclimated to his new club. They praised his ability as a disruptor and reputation as a vocal leader with the Rams.

What about CB Denzel Ward, who only received 16% of the vote? One fan said “Ward has been here 8+ years and has not emerged as the kind of vocal leader you’re talking about.” The other category received 5% of the vote, with one fan saying, “I think S Grant Delpit is going to be a leader – not the best player, but the player who speaks up and fires people up.“

The Browns are still heavy underdogs to capture the AFC North, at 22/1 compared to the other teams, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
