The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team won the SEC during the regular season and are the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament, which is currently underway. Georgia will open the SEC Tournament on Thursday, May 21 at 4 p.m. ET (televised on SEC Network).
Georgia will play the winner of the No. 16 Missouri Tigers versus No. 8 Mississippi State Bulldogs game. Missouri upset No. 9 seed Ole Miss 10-8 in the first-round of the SEC Tournament. The Missouri-Mississippi State game will be played at 10:30 a.m. ET (televised on SEC Network) to decide who moves on to face Georgia in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
Georgia swept both Missouri and Mississippi State during the regular season. The Bulldogs have a lot of momentum heading into the SEC Tournament and have won 11 of their last 12 games. Georgia leads the nation in home runs and has catcher Daniel Jackson, who was named as the SEC player of the year for his record-setting season.
Georgia (43-12, 23-7 SEC) plays the winner of the Missouri-Mississippi State game in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. Missouri is 24-30 (6-24 SEC) and Mississippi State is 39-16 (16-14 SEC) entering their second-round matchup.
The winner of Georgia's quarterfinal game will play again on Saturday, May 23 at 1 p.m. ET on SEC Network in the SEC Tournament semifinals. The most likely semifinals opponents are No. 4 seed Alabama and No. 5 seed Florida.
The SEC championship game is at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 24 and will be televised on ABC.
