Those of you who study the draft prospects past the first rounders, who do you think would be a solid target for the Cards? Clearly developmental depth guys, but ones you think could surprise and at least have the potential to become stars, if things align right.

Here's a few I've got my sights on:

AJ Dillon, RB, Boston College.
Big heavy bruiser. Thunder to all the other guys lightning. Not a speedster, but more like a lead fullback who can carry the rock, block, and get the short yards.

Bryan Edwards, WR, South Carolina
Tall, contested catch specialist. Speedy, athletic build, going under the radar due to a foot injury. touchdown-per-game this past season. This year's poor man's DK Metcalf.

Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame
Very tall, powerful WR, blocks easily,

Jared Pinkney, TE, Vanderbilt
Tall and strong, rock solid, wins contested plays. Very good two way TE.

Lucas Niang, OT, TCU
Hip injury derailed his latest season, but was utterly dominant at OT. Gigantic dancing bear, natural RT.

Netane Muti, OL Fresno State
Played all over their line, with freaky athleticism and burst. Lots of strength, held back by achilles injury this past year.

Bradlee Anae, Edge, Utah
Frantic pass rusher with good repertoire of moves. Not blazing speed but a solid situational edge contain man and QB eater.

Leki Fotu, DT, Utah
Huge two down space eater on the DL. Won't light up a lot of stats as an NT, but consistently took up two blockers and made his teammates jobs a whole lot easier.

Troy Dye, ILB, Oregon
Tall, fast, sideline to sideline player. Big player to match with tight ends, and can thump. Has been called Isaiah Simmons lite.

Logan Wilson, ILB, Wyoming
Large backer with a history of having played in the secondary, with fluidity, decent speed, and coverage skills. Ideal LB depth.

Evan Weaver, ILB, California
Pure tackling machine. Record setting production in that measure. No one gets past him with the ball. Not a twitchy athlete, limited in pass coverage. Would be a special teams ace.

Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia
Lanky former reciever with good timing, willing tackling, and four years of starting time. Average speed, solid cover skills.

If we don't take Isiah Simmons or Kenneth Murray...then I would be all over Evan Weaver in about the 5th round. He is a hell of a football player, and I think he showed enough speed to be a solid WILB in our system. He is not an elite prospect, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him be a 8-10 year starter in the NFL. He reminds me of the Kendricks brothers...just always making tackles.

Keyes comes with outstanding size (6-feet, 190 pounds) and speed (upper 4.4’s). He’s a physical corner who battles opponents throughout the route and works hard to defend passes. He beats down opponents to strip the ball away and quickly comes up the field to voluntarily defend the run.

Keyes still has work to do on his game as he struggles to make plays with his back to the ball, but the ability and consistency shown the past two years earned him an invitation to the Shrine Game in January.

Carter Coughlin

PROS: Has been a productive playmaker in each of the last three seasons for the Gophers. Offers some versatility in terms of pass rush, run defense and pass coverage in a stand up role. Fluid mover in all directions, including coverage drops and he reaches his landmarks. Does well to slip blocks in pursuit and find the football. Generally a fast processor and his responses are quick. Finds success as a finesse pass rushers, taking advantage of his quickness and fluidity to get by offensive linemen.

CONS: Not built for edge-setting duties and hasn’t had much experience in a true off-ball role defending the run. Power rush elements aren’t found in his game. If blockers get their hands on him he gets washed and he doesn’t have the length needed to win with first contact and keep his pads clean.

Pretty good list you have going. I watched mainly PAC-12, and really liked RB's Eno Benjamin and Zack Moss. Two really talented backs that will go in the back half of the draft. Moss has some real power up the middle, while Eno is a little more balanced across the board.

You also mentioned Leki Fotu -- he was a real difference maker in college. I think he could be a great pick.

Parnell Motley CB Oklahoma - The pieces came together for him last season. No combine invite suggests that he has been red flagged for something.
