He’s not getting that here.
I actually think its a possibility given that MO is starting to feel the heat after 15 wins in three years. We can make some moves to clear cap space to make it work.

If we're truly punting on the season, keeping things status quo (Brissett) is the way I'd do it too.
agree...draw benefit from the season by stocking mystery meat in the Quarterback slot on the roster....maybe actually carry 3, with the third occupying a slot generally reserved for a ST specialist or something.

But role with Captain Brisket,...a second round rookie,...and the guy, a guy from somewhere never before heard of or recognized in the existence of men..like upper Dakota all male greek othodox dental college... I dunno, a guy who possess no valid reason to be drafted...except he just has....it? I dunno, a guy who has all the physical tools but never faced anybody at all in college...you know, a longshot project guy...get one of those for deep on the backup bench

If I'm going with Brissett, I'm not drafting a day 1 or 2 QB this year. In fact, I'd trade my 2nd round pick for 2027 picks.

To me if we’re serious about getting right at QB1, this is a risky but also the most logical option

Go with BBQ Brissett for 2026 since he’s incredibly cheap and will at least provide some leadership and toughness to the offense. From a culture standpoint he’s a good choice. Neither is he going too win many games. We’ll draft top ten if JB is our starter for 2026.

Willis is way too risky for his projected salary, and Cousins solves nothing. We’re screwed at QB1 for 2026 no matter what.

So we might as well start putting ourselves in a position to make an aggressive move in the 2027 draft.

It really really sucks we’re in this position but flailing around like spaszes at the QB1 spot for 2026 will just make things worse and set us back even farther.

Because of the division we’re in, We’re in legit danger of becoming the NFC version of the J-E-T-S so we better play it cool.

I think you can be a good guy for the locker room and practice field even if you play at a journeyman level.

He’s a lovable loser if you will.
All these guys want to compete and win. If Brissett is the avatar of surrender and failure he’s not holding anything.

Brissett is 2-15 as a starter the past two seasons.

But he doesn’t control the purse strings.

But will be a crackup and give THE BEST interviews. Give me a next year top 5 and some funnies and I may not poke my eyeballs out.
Next year = 2027?

Guys go read the Athletic piece on Rodgers from a few years ago. He doesn’t communicate with his WRs on or off the field.

Rodgers was a top 2 QB in the NFL for over a decade. Do people really think this is an issue? Whatever he does, it seems to have worked.

Davante Adams on Rodgers,

"Having his company and having him as my quarterback again, he is part of why I am who I am, what I turned into as a player. My cerebral approach, attention to detail came from watching him operate, how he was dialed in at all times. I felt that had a lot to do with how I function as a player."

“The man changed my life. Because he got me dialed into knowing just how important small things are.”

"If I were to be reunited with anybody, it would be with Aaron, or be relocated anywhere, it would be with Aaron."

Hypothetically speaking, IF you were a steelers fan, who would you rather have at QB1 for the steelers next year?
Rodgers or Murray
Take a deep breath before answering :)
Jeebus, you don't ask much, do you? :D Feet held to the fire, torturing me into thinking like a Stillers fan? Rodgers. But I would be grossly unhappy about even that.

*Jameis Winston has entered the chat
I wanted him this past offseason.

The fact that Brissett, Rodgers, Cousins, Garropollo, Flacco, Willis, are being mentioned for the next QB is disgusting.
