It is Day 4 of the 2025 White Marlin Open, and the first three days of the tournament have seen a lot of action at the scales.

Day 3 saw the first qualifying white marlin of this year's tournament shake up the leaderboard, as Dan Gough and the Billfisher caught a 72-pound white marlin that is currently valued at $4.2 million. In the blue marlin division, the Barbara B and angler Drew Osmeyer remain at the of the leaderboard with their 929.5-pound catch from Day 1.

The Day 2 catch made by Tommy Farella and the Mama C still leads the tuna category at 95 pounds, while the Barbara B also remain the leaders in the dolphin category. And the 2025 White Marlin Open is still waiting for its first qualifying wahoo to be brought to the scales, as there will only be three days left in tournament after today.

How many boats went out on Day 4 of the White Marlin Open?

Only 13 of the tournament's 282 boats have decided to fish on Thursday. This year's White Marlin Open was extended by an extra two days due to offshore weather concerns, and with such a small number of boats deciding to fish today, windy days like today are likely the reason the tournament was extended. It could be a quiet day at the scales today, but it only takes one fish to be caught to change things.
