In other words, name your guy for the record. You can only pick one and simply go with the one you think will be the best if you think others might qualify. I am not going to use a poll because this is a knowledgeable forum with some who might know of a guy not in the spotlight and that is Sissyboy territory anyways haha... and if you think they're all not worthy to achieve success, say there is none in the draft

I say DeShone Kizer

A bit premature to be putting it into the books right now IMO. I would like to wait until after the senior bowl, combine, and pro days before deciding. I will go on record to say that Deshaun Watson is my early favorite.

Can't agree with you more on waiting, my friend. I don't even have an early favorite.

Watson, of course. Everyone knows that white guys make poor QBs in the modern century.

No QB out of Notre Dame not named Joe Montana has ever amounted to anything. This is why I would stand clear of QB's from Florida, Florida St. or USC(not named Carson Palmer).

I don't understand this line of thinking. What does Sam Darnold have to do with Mark Sanchez or Deshone Kizer with Brady Quinn? Irrelevant.

I get this guys, if you are one of the 32 football teams who have all the incoming personal resources at hand but the collegiate games are in the books and as a fan that is pretty much all you have unless someone like Watson is going to spend some one on one time with you after you make a trip to the combine

Don't be a goose, don't take things so literal. Of course no one is going to sit down with us after the combine, but things leak out. Interview results come out, wonderlich scores leak, and you cn see drill times. At their pro days you can make them throw a wet football, take snaps from under center, and watch them makes reads. Chucky will sit down with them and make them diagnosis plays. A lot of information can be garnered from watching and listening. If the Op would have said based on their college tape well then that a different story.

Seriously, I prefer results on the field. Give me someone who is a winner, nothing phases them, they can come from behind, they perform up to the moment, through their success has developed the mindset that they can do anything and win under any circumstance and against any opponent, and can put the team on his shoulders when necessary. Unless he is proven to have a learning disability, that sounds like Watson to me. I wouldn't hesitate to take him if I had the chance and was in need of a starting QB. All QBs are a gamble, but I wouldn't feel down on myself if I took Watson and he didn't succeed like I had hoped. I don't see how the fans could hold anything against you either. To me, he is a winner with benefits. If he failed as a pro QB, I think he would look good as an ILB, free safety, or some other position.

I am of the Keim philosophy, other than interviews to garner personal character, the combine is just something for people to self guess themselves where a football game is not even taking place... and what did you say which was in code not to be taken literally, I dig you bro but give me a guy for now then 'based on his college legacy' :)

Joe Theisman, Daryle Lamonica, Paul Hornung, Johnny Lujack and a few others who had more than a cup of tea in the league would disagree.

OK. Who in the last 40 years. I mean really? Care for me to give my list of Notre Dame failures in the past 20 years? Steve Beuerlein is the only decent NFL QB out of ND since Montana.

It's just that some school's QB are a product of their systems. Look at Florida. Shane Matthews, Rex Grossman, Tim Tebow, Danny Awful, all had great college careers who were total bums in the NFL. Because of that, I don't trust QB's from those schools.

a QB's success depends way too much upon the coach and system they are drafted into... there is no way this choice can be made at this point... 4 or 5 QB's will go in the first couple rounds....then some kid drafted by the Pats in the fifth will look better than all of them come pre season

Don't really see any QB's from this years class reaching the 'Franchise QB' status. If teams weren't so desperate for QB's...I don't see any of these guys as sure fire first round picks, so the QB position is obviously a little over-valued in terms of draft grades. I think the best out of the bunch will be Watson, though, just because he's a winner. I see him as being a slightly worse version of Tyrod Taylor...just because Taylor is more dynamic with his legs.

I really see nothing special in Trubisky at all.

I have never heard SK mention this before. But then why do all teams go to the combine? I get it it's the t shirt Olympics, but it's still information and the more you have the better educated guess you can make. I personally like their pro days better. You can get them to do things off the cuff get them off of a script.

I was almost posting the same thing when I saw this. I agree except I think Watson will be slightly better than Tyrod Taylor.
