MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball is reportedly hiring Belmont coach Casey Alexander to replace Jerome Tang. In this age of college basketball, hiring a coach could also mean bringing over a few players from their previous stop.

That'd be fine with Kansas State, as Alexander is coming off a season in which his Bruins had one of the best offenses in the country en route to winning a Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship. Alexander has had a lot of success during his Belmont career identifying talent and developing it into eventual high-major players, and, in one case, an NBA first-round pick.

Here are the players with eligibility on Alexander's Belmont roster who could find their way over to Manhattan.

Brigham Rogers

Rogers mostly came off the bench for the Bruins this season after starting 30 games last year. He averages 6.9 points and four boards as a 6-foot-9 forward.

Isaiah West

West became a starter late this season after transferring from Samford. He's a 6-foot-2 guard who averages 2.9 points and 1.8 assists.

Sam Orme

Orme was named Second-Team All-MVC after averaging 12.6 points and five boards, while making 56.2% of his shots as a 6-foot-9 wing.

Drew Scharnowski

Scharnowski was named to the MVC First Team and All-Defensive Team. He's a 6-foot-9 forward who averaged 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists. He entered Arch Madness as a 68.6% shooter from the field.

Jabez Jenkins

Jenkins, a 6-foot-4 guard, has started every game as a true freshman. He averaged 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Jack Smiley

Smiley was named MVC All-Freshman after averaging 8.6 points and 2.5 assists, while also shooting 43.6% from beyond the arc.

Eoin Dillon

Dillon was named MVC All-Freshman as a 6-foot-9 forward, who was a 45% 3-point shooter, averaging 7.6 points and 2.5 boards.

Jaylen Alexander

Jaylen Alexander isn't the coach's kid, but he is a three-star recruit ranked as the No. 22 point guard in the country and No. 3 overall player out of Alabama.

Jake Feldhaus

Feldhaus is a 6-foot-8 forward out of Kentucky. He held mid-major offers from schools like Liberty, Jacksonville State and Marshall.

Charlie Gersmehl

Gersmehl is a 6-foot-8 forward out of Georgia.

Devin Hutcherson

Hutcherson is a three-star 6-foot-4 shooting guard who held offers from Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. The Atlanta native is the No. 231 overall player in the country and No. 38 overall shooting guard.
