The Wisconsin Badgers added yet another marquee win to their resume on Saturday, as they went on the road and defeated No. 15 Purdue 97-73.

Wisconsin shot the lights out offensively, averaging 56% from the field and a whopping 53% from 3. John Blackwell led that effort, tallying 25 points and four rebounds, while shooting 7-of-13 from the field and 5-of-10 from 3. As has been the case all season, Nick Boyd was the other major story. The senior point guard finished with 23 points, three rebounds and five assists. He made eight of his 13 shot attempts, several of which came during key crunch-time moments.

The other major headline from the contest: Wisconsin delivered an impressive road victory without junior center Nolan Winter, who left the team's previous contest with a lower-body injury. His status will be worth monitoring as the postseason begins.

The win pushes the Badgers to 22-9 (14-6 Big Ten) to close the regular season. The triumph also lifted the team to the No. 5 seed in the projected Big Ten Tournament bracket; it still has a chance at No. 4 and a double-bye if Maryland defeats Illinois on Sunday.

With eyes on postseason play, here is where the Badgers now stand in KenPom and ESPN's Basketball Power Index.

Wisconsin basketball's updated KenPom, ESPN basketball power index ranking after Purdue win

  • KenPom: No. 24 overall (up one spot), No. 16 offense, No. 54 defense, No. 28 strength of schedule
