It's Selection Sunday for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and North Carolina is poised for a No. 4 seed in the winningest season of the Courtney Banghart era, so far.

The No. 15 Tar Heels (26-7) were among 16 host teams announced by the NCAA on Saturday, and they are projected by ESPN Bracketology to land in the Fort Worth 1 bracket as a No. 4 seed to play Miami (Ohio) in their opener in Chapel Hill. The winner of the UNC-Miami (Ohio) game would be expected to play Maryland or James Madison.

Other potential opponents for UNC in March Madness include Forth Worth 1 projected No. 1 seed UConn, No. 2 Vanderbilt and No. 3 Michigan.

UNC finished third in the ACC this season with a 14-4 league record and reached the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to No. 13 Louisville.

The Tar Heels' 26 wins are the most they've posted under Coach Banghart, now in her seventh season in Chapel Hill. They've won 13 of their last 15 games as Nyla Harris leads four players averaging double-figure scoring with 11.2 points per game.
