The 2025-26 women's basketball season officially ended when UCLA gave the Big Ten its first national champion since Purdue in 1999 on Sunday, April 5.

And that means the transfer portal is now open and the offseason officially begins.

The Michigan State women's basketball program likely will have nearly half of its roster turn over for a second straight season as coach Robyn Fralick begins the process of building her team for 2026-27.

Grace VanSlooten, Emma Shumate, Abbey Kimball, Marah Dykstra and Jalyn Brown are all graduating and moving on. Brown indicated plans to put her name in the WNBA draft on Monday, April 6.

MSU also has three players from this past season who have entered the transfer portal, with starter Ines Sotelo and reserves Juliann Woodard and Jordan Ode all exploring their options.

Then there is the case of Theryn Hallock, who went through senior day festivities with VanSlooten, Shumate, Kimball, Dykstra and Brown in February but was sidelined a majority of the season by a foot injury. She appeared in just eight games — none after Dec. 29 — and averaged 10.6 points. Whether the former All-Big Ten performer is granted a redshirt and decides to return for another year is still to be determined.

The Spartans could have as many as nine players gone from this year's roster when next season opens in November. Here is where the roster stands as of April 6.

Isa Alexander

Alexander has battled injuries throughout her career. She emerged as a starter for the Spartans this season before suffering an injury in late December. That injury was initially feared to be season-ending but Alexander worked her way back and contributed for MSU late in the year. The 6-foot-3 forward is the lone player with significant size set to return. Alexander appeared in 17 games with four starts and shot 60.7% from the field while averaging 7.6 points.

Kennedy Blair

The guard started all 32 games this season and emerged as a second team All-Big Ten performer for the Spartans. Blair led MSU in rebounding (7.1 per game) and ranked second in scoring at 14.5 points per game in her first season of seeing significant action. She was a primary ball handler and will look to take another step as a junior.

Rashunda Jones

Jones thrived for the Spartans in her first season with the program after transferring from Purdue. She started 28 of 31 games and formed a nice tandem in the backcourt with Blair. She averaged 11.7 points, shot 82.2% from the free-throw line and was a key defender. Jones was named to the All-Big Ten defensive team.

Sara Sambolic

After transferring from overseas, Sambolic wasn't eligible to play until mid-December. The guard appeared in 22 games and made four starts in her debut season. She will be a senior next season.

Amy Terrian

The guard had some big moments as a freshman and saw her role grow throughout the season. She is the main returning floor spacer set to return after shooting 44.3% from 3-point range. Terrian made 30 total field goals in her debut season with 27 coming from behind the 3-point arc.

Anna Terrian

The reserve guard and twin sister of Amy appeared in nine games off the bench in her debut season. She will be a sophomore next season.

Lilly Williams

The incoming 6-foot-6 freshman is the lone player the Spartans have signed for their 2026 class. Williams went from playing homeschool to starring for Howell this season on her way to being named the state's Miss Basketball winner and a McDonald's All-American. She is the first McDonald's All-American signed by the program since the Spartans landed Sidney Cooks in 2017. Williams is rated by ESPN as the No. 15 overall recruit in the 2026 class.
