Last season Kennedy Blair played a limited role off the bench in the Michigan State women's basketball program.

This winter she has emerged as one of the top players in arguably the nation's top conference.

Blair was among four Spartan players to receive All-Big Ten accolades on Tuesday, March 2. Blair and senior Grace VanSlooten were selected second team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media, junior Rashunda Jones was selected to the all-defensive team by the media and senior Emma Shumate was the Spartans' Big Ten sportsmanship honoree.

Blair went from averaging 3.4 points while playing a total of 178 minutes as a redshirt freshman in 2024-25 to finishing the regular season averaging 13.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists. She started all 29 games and leads the Spartans (22-7) in rebounds, assists and ranks second in scoring. She logged a team-high 857 minutes.

"It's incredible.," MSU coach Robyn Fralick said of Blair's maturation. "Everybody is like oh my gosh and we've watched it day-by-day for years. Her impact on the game is amazing on both sides of the ball. It really is. Her ability to just impact the game in so every possible way - she's one of those kids that has a nose for the basketball. She just has an instinct."

VanSlooten was MSU's leading scorer at 15.1 points and also averaged 6.6 rebounds.
