Where Texas Tech basketball stands in March Madness projections

Selection Sunday has arrived for the Texas Tech basketball team with the Red Raiders set to figure out where they're headed for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

The Red Raiders (22-10) will try to find a new gear in March Madness after losing their final three games before the tournament. Grant McCasland will try to pick up another postseason win after leading Texas Tech to the Elite Eight in 2025.

Before the final selections are announced, we're keeping track of the last batch of bracketology projections for Texas Tech. Here's where things stand.

5 a.m.: Joe Lunardi of ESPN's final bracketology update of Saturday night has Texas Tech as the 5-seed heading to Portland to take on Yale with a potential matchup with 5-seed Gonzaga in the second round.​
